BP is selling its entire US onshore wind portfolio to LS Power as part of a 20 billion dollar divestment strategy to focus on low-carbon investments. The deal includes ten wind farms across seven states with a capacity of 1.3 gigawatts. BP's leadership plans to reallocate capital and streamline operations, while LS Power sees this as a strategic growth opportunity aligned with rising demand for clean energy. The transaction is expected to close later this year pending regulatory approval.
