Once a frontrunner in advanced driver assistance technology, Tesla's Autopilot has dropped to eighth place in the latest Consumer Reports rankings. It now lags behind systems from Ford, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Nissan, Toyota, and Volkswagen. Consumer Reports' Kelly Funkhouser remarks that Tesla’s system falls short of expectations.
