About Capital One Sued By New York Over Hidden Interest Rate Scheme That Cost Consumers Millions

New York Attorney General Letitia James has filed a lawsuit against Capital One, alleging the bank misled customers with a hidden interest rate scheme. According to the complaint, Capital One maintained low interest rates of 0.30% on older 360 Savings accounts while advertising a much higher rate of 4.35% on a new 360 Performance Savings account. This resulted in long-term customers losing millions in potential interest. The lawsuit claims these actions have damaged consumer trust in the bank's products.
