Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney rebuffed Trump’s annexation pitch Tuesday, during a White House meeting, according to The Wall Street Journal. Carney told Trump that Canada “is not for sale” after the U.S. president suggested it become the 51st state. Trump made a softer annexation pitch, promising Canadian citizens tax cuts, “free military” support, and a “beautiful formation” by removing the border between the two countries.
